Founders
Jonathan is a former founder & full-stack software engineer. While in Edinburgh, alongside achieving a 1st class Maths degree, Jonathan founded a successful events business. He scaled the business out to 6 cities in 3 countries, selling over 20,000 tickets before exiting. Looking to work on something more scaleable, Jonathan turned to tech. He was one of the first engineering employees at 2 early-stage SaaS startups (Metomic & Shamaazi). Unable to ignore the desire to build something from scratch, Jonathan joined EF and founded Borderless.

Matthew started his entrepreneurial journey age 16, building an e-commerce business which served 8k customers over 2 years. While studying Maths at Oxford, he founded, grew and exited a printing business. Post university, he was a quant trader and data scientist for Citadel & UBS, learning ML on the side. Feeling the entrepreneurial itch, he relocated to California (MBA, UC Berkeley), where he launched a student-led VC fund back by the UC Endowment fund. He was the first Product hire at a Series A startup and later joined a pre-IPO AI-SaaS company, before relocating back to London to join Entrepreneur First and found Borderless.
